Full-Stack Back End Engineer

Sibly is looking for an experienced Full-Stack Back End Engineer who is passionate about working with data and delivering insights. You will join a dynamic fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable software solutions. As a senior member of our engineering team, you’ll be critical in delivering software that improves improved people’s lives, safely and securely delivering the most accessible mental and overall wellness services. Responsibilities: Writing code as a key individual contributor in our growing team Contribute to our technical visions through collaboration with our chief architect and product team(s) as well as key partners Designing, implement and own components of our server and database infrastructure Build new products and refactor or replatform our current products Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency Provide code review & contribute to technical mentorship of junior engineers Work is primarily on a Node.js server hosted on AWS and with MySQL DB. There’s a lot of replatforming work to be done this year, as we scale our enterprise grade B2B2C product. We expect to move to a serverless architecture soon, and we are committed to utilizing the newest and best technologies. Requirements: 5+ Years of experience Extensive experience with modern Javascript (Node.JS) (classes, promises, etc) Strong experience with testing (e2e, unit, etc) Strong experience with MySQL (Debugging/optimizing queries is a plus) Strong experience with AWS (Lambda is a plus) CI/CD experience is a plus Terraform and/or CloudFormation experience is a plus Experience with working in a fully distributed team is a plus Excellent communication and teamwork skills This is a full-time position. Full-Stack Front End Engineer

UI Designer (contract)

Job Description Sibly is looking for a mission-driven, creative part-time contract designer with experience in both print and digital design. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams on multiple projects that support the company’s vision and strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with management and key stakeholders while playing an important role in our powerful mission of delivering the most effective and accessible mental and overall wellness services. What you’ll do: - Design web & mobile user interface (UI) components that are both easy to use & visually appealing - Contribute to building & maintaining design systems and style guides - Create and manage a library of illustrations to be used in different areas including the marketing materials as well as our software products - Create visual aspects of marketing materials, presentations, posters, and other media - Shape the visual identity of the brand as the company evolves, and document the visual systems you build Who you are: - You have 3+ years of experience in visual & UI design - You have an excellent eye for aesthetic design and customer appeal. You can create pixel-perfect visual designs (UI) - You have experience working with design systems and style guides - You have extensive experience with Figma & Photoshop - You have a strong portfolio showcasing work in UI design, graphic design, and illustration - You have experience working with design systems and style guides - You are proficient in G Suite Slides and Microsoft Powerpoint - You have excellent attention to detail - You have great written, communication, analytical skills, with an ability to effectively present to executive staff and key stakeholders - You enjoy collaboration and feedback, can give constructive and respectful critiques of others’ work, and can explain the reasoning behind your design decisions and opinions - You are self-motivated and you love taking initiatives - Team is primarily based in Redwood City, CA. As a senior member of our engineering team, you’ll be critical in delivering software that improves improved people’s lives, safely and securely delivering the most accessible mental and overall wellness services. Job Responsibilities Design and deliver the elegant, frictionless digital products that will enhance and expand our ability to delight our customers, by delivering the best digital experience in the business. This role is about architecture and engineering. Design and implement data solutions that solve for this problem space - elegant, performant, secure and highly available. Engage on an end-to-end basis: from strategic infrastructure planning; to close partnership with the developers and the product teams; right on through to our delighted customers. Design, build and maintain in accordance with organizational requirements for compliance and other regulations. PCI, SOC, SOX, ADA, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, etc. Communicate effectively in all formats - across the team and up to senior leadership. Manage technical debt through ongoing re-factoring Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features. Work closely with the CTO and Director of Engineering to develop a vision for the future, utilizing modern technologies as needed Be generous at sharing knowledge, while being curious and learning from your teammates as well. Be a mentor, and generally make your team better. Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role. 10 years’ experience in the web tech space as a whole. Strong experience with cloud-based solutions (emphasis on AWS), cloud-first strategy and migration/transformation/hybridized environments. Excellent grasp of AWS vocabulary, with skills to back up the vocab. We’ll ask what you’ve built, and how. Specific experience with enterprise grade software. Health-related software experience is preferred. Programming: expert-level at server-side/full-stack, both architectural and hands-on. Node.js and MySQL. Understanding and experience with of M/L applications. Some background in NLP is preferred Demonstrable ability to model/map problem spaces to elegant architectural solutions. Be experienced and comfortable working in customer-first, product- Agile Excellent organizational and analytical abilities. Outstanding problem solver.
